Development Logs 6 - 8 (I'm not an organized person, okay?)


My apologies to anyone who might have been curiously wondering what the deal is with this project. I wasn't doing a ton of active development over the last few months and what I did accomplish I didn't bother sharing, which in retrospect I should have. In the last few days though I've finally managed to get some free time to work on this again and made some major progress!

Having achieved a sufficient level of functionality in my ship saving and loading system, I moved on to restoring and upgrading the gameplay. As of today, it is now not only possible to load, edit, and save ships, but to enter "play mode" and send them into battle, complete with movement, weapons fire, weapon damage, and destruction of modules and ships.

I've also typed up a detailed dissertation on what exactly this game project is, featuring mockups of the main user interfaces and explanations of all the important features, available alongside everything else at the link below:
